Personalized Doula Care in Denver and Surrounding Communities
“Every birth tells a story — I’m here to help as you write yours.”
Meet Your Doula, Melissa
I’m Melissa, the heart behind Riverbend Doula Services. No two birth stories are the same, which is why my care is always tailored to the specific needs of each family. My mission is to surround you with steady support and equip you with practical tools, helping you feel grounded, confident, and cared for throughout your journey.
With a special focus on high-risk pregnancies, pregnancies following fertility journeys, birth after loss, and families navigating nontraditional paths, I meet you exactly where you are — honoring your choices and helping you move through each bend of birth with strength and assurance.
I believe every birthing person deserves to feel informed, respected, and empowered. I bring both compassion and evidence-based guidance to make that possible, so you can welcome your baby in your own unique way.
Overview of Services
Prenatal Support
I offer client-centered prenatal meetings designed to provide both emotional support and practical guidance. Together, we’ll explore your birth preferences, talk through any fears, and practice coping techniques. You’ll gain an understanding of the stages of labor, pain management strategies, and postpartum preparation.
Throughout the process, I’ll offer reassurance, help you understand your choices, and work with you to create a personalized plan that supports your vision for birth and beyond.
Birth Support
I will support your entire birth experience—physically, emotionally, and educationally. Using comfort measures like massage, counter-pressure, movement, and breathing techniques, I help reduce discomfort and promote progress.
I offer calm reassurance, a steady presence, and non-judgmental listening, while also acting as your advocate. Throughout, I share clear, evidence-based guidance to help you understand your options and make informed decisions.
Postpartum Support
The early weeks after birth—the “fourth trimester”—are a tender and transformative time. I provide steady support for both you and your family, blending emotional care, newborn guidance, and practical help so you can focus on healing and bonding.
I offer a non-judgmental space to process your birth, ask questions, and ease the transition into parenthood. Support may include feeding guidance, baby-care basics, and mental health check-ins. My goal is to nurture your recovery and ensure you feel cared for in this new season.
