Think of me as a trained support companion who walks alongside you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I don’t provide clinical care — that’s the role of your midwife or doctor — but I do offer hands-on comfort, emotional encouragement, and evidence-based information so you feel cared for, understood, and confident as you move through this season.
-
Absolutely — and I want them to! A doula doesn’t replace your partner; I help both of you. Your partner knows you better than anyone, and my role is to complement that with knowledge, experience, and an extra set of steady hands. I can suggest comfort techniques, reassure them in the moment, and step in when they need rest, so your partner can stay present and connected without the pressure of being the sole support person. Together, we make a stronger team for you.

Most families reach out during the second trimester, but it’s never too early (or too late!). Hiring earlier gives us more time to connect and prepare, but even if you’re close to your due date, I can still offer meaningful support.
-
Your birth matters — no matter how it unfolds. I will support you through every pathway, whether labor begins spontaneously, is induced, or leads to a cesarean birth. During an induction, I can help you understand each step, suggest positions and comfort measures that support progress, and provide encouragement through what can sometimes be a longer process.
If a cesarean birth becomes necessary, I continue to offer emotional support, help you and your partner understand what’s happening, and remain by your side when possible. Afterward, I’m there to support recovery, help with feeding and bonding, and ensure you feel informed, cared for, and never alone in your experience.
-
While I always plan to be there for your birth, life can be unpredictable. That’s why I provide access to a trusted back-up doula who can step in if needed. You’ll have the chance to meet them ahead of time so you know exactly who will be by your side. My goal is to make sure you feel fully supported, no matter what, and that your birth experience remains calm, safe, and empowering.
-
I’m officially on-call 24/7 starting at 37 weeks until your baby is born. This means I won’t be further than 2 hours away during that period of time. That said, I’m always just a phone call, text, or email away throughout your pregnancy if questions or worries come up.

Some insurance plans and HSA/FSA accounts will reimburse part of doula care. I can provide an invoice to submit to your insurance if your plan allows it.
